So sorry about your mother’s condition.  Its good that you are seeking for help. I will say you take her for proper diagnosis if you haven’t done that already. To help your mother, please try to listen to her, try your best to see that you put a smile on her face by doing things she loves with her. Aside these i think talking with a specialist will help.

Show her love, show her love and show her love! Be patient, be kind, be funny, be everything to her. This is a you can give to her right now. Plus I think @roygirl gave a great advice

Love and care. Also she can see a therapist. If she has friends, they should come and visit her

This applies to my grandmum she’s always depressed due to the death of her mum who is her daughter, I try my possible best to make her not feel her loss. I visit her often, buy gifts for her and most times take her out and also I remind her of how happy she is seeing us her grandchildren, this really helps her stand back on her feet whenever she’s down.
